Lego and Epic Games unveil Lego Fortnite Brick Life for December 12
Lego and Epic Games revealed today a new social RPG called Lego Fortnite Brick Life, debuting on December 12.
And the companies also renamed Lego Fortnite, the survival crafting game, as Lego Fortnite Odyssey. Lego Fortnite Odyssey is also getting a major content update.
It’s a big week for Epic Games, as it launched Fortnite OG, a classic version of the battle royale game, on December 6. It also announced the pending launch of Fortnite Ballistic, a 5v5 team first-person shooter game. And today is the turn for the Lego games.
Lego Fortnite (now Lego Fortnite Odyssey) debuted in December 2023 and it will have a major update on December 10. And Lego Fortnite Brick Life will be a new social roleplay game where up to 32 players can live it up in the heart of a bustling Lego city in Fortnite.
In Lego Fortnite Brick Life, players can explore vibrant areas throughout the city, customize their dream home, take on jobs and interact with friends and other players through text chat. Lego Fortnite Brick Life is an ever-evolving experience and will receive new content updates over time including new jobs, resources and events.
Meanwhile, on December 10, the Storm Chasers update goes live in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey introducing
a new mighty boss for players to battle, the Storm King. The update introduces gameplay improvements including an overhaul of the progression system and introduction of all-new crafting systems.
Players can head to the Lego Fortnite category in Discover to find Lego Fortnite Odyssey,
Lego Fortnite Brick Life and all Lego Fortnite Islands, both ones created by the Lego Group
like Lego Tycoon: Tilted Towers and Lego Chasers vs Hunters, as well as creator-made
Islands.
This week’s launches are the latest to come from the long-term partnership between Epic Games and the Lego Group to develop fun and safe digital spaces for children and families. In addition to the launch of Lego Fortnite last December, the two released Lego elements and tools to Fortnite creators in March 2024, expanding the offering of Lego content in Fortnite and encouraging creativity, experimentation and collaboration through play.
