Founding Platform Engineer 🛠️ at Toma

Summary

At Toma, we will build an end-to-end AI workforce for the 1.5T automotive industry.

Our largest customers spend over 1.5B on processes that can already be automated with AI, from customer service, to repair order management, to warranty processing, to sales.

We are uniquely positioned to capitalize on this space because:

  • our team members are top-notch and have built and sold multiple AI app companies,
  • we’ve created a strong foothold in the industry by building a best-in-class voice AI product that has grown through word-of-mouth,
  • and we uniquely understand the problems at hand from hundreds of combined hours working at and studying automotive dealerships in person.

How We Operate

We work like a team. Each individual is responsible for driving solutions to their respective problems with the best possible approaches. Everyone is held accountable.

We expect you to drink from the information firehose, and you will have full autonomy when making decisions. We are a no-BS workplace where the best data-supported idea always wins, and we like to move quickly.

We believe that when exceptional people are given autonomy and full context, great things ensue, so you will have an unparalleled opportunity to make an impact at Toma.

Location

We work in-office 5 days a week in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco. We’re 4 blocks from YC.

The realistic wildlife fine art paintings and prints of Jacquie Vaux begin with a deep appreciation of wildlife and the environment. Jacquie Vaux grew up in the Pacific Northwest, soon developed an appreciation for nature by observing the native wildlife of the area. Encouraged by her grandmother, she began painting the creatures she loves and has continued for the past four decades. Now a resident of Ft. Collins, CO she is an avid hiker, but always carries her camera, and is ready to capture a nature or wildlife image, to use as a reference for her fine art paintings.
